Pudgy the Pug Has Trouble Breathing
Breathing difficulties are a real pain in the neck for most short nosed canines. Here an eleven year old pug has a breathing problem and is brought to the Planned Pethood. His windpipe has collapsed, this is due to his breed’s genetic disposition. Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome(that’s quite a mouthful)is a term related to various upper airway problems found in short nosed dogs such as the bulldog, pug, boxer and Chihuahua. Please be aware of the vulnerability these breeds have especially when they over exercise or over heat.
